Joelle made me and her entire family VERY proud today by making the honor roll at school. She even got an A+ in math. I know I couldn't have done it. I was constantly on the internet researching algebra and I still was confused!
A typical day for Joelle during the months of September and October was: get home from school at 2:45, relax and eat a snack until 3:30, go to rehearsals at 4, get home at 6:15, eat dinner, begin homework at 7 and finish sometimes at 9. The week prior to the show's opening, she was getting home from rehearsals at 8:15 only to be doing homework until 10.
I'm extremely proud of Joelle's dedication to schoolwork and her committment to the play. And what's even more admirable? She NEVER once complained. I'm proud of you Joelle. What an awesome thing it is to say I'm your Mom. :)

Love you!
Dear, Dear Joelle,
We have never doubted your ability to learn and be successful at whatever you put your mind to. You have also demonstrated, on many occasions, your capability of multi-tasking. For you to have made this great achievement (Honor Roll) and at the same time attend all rehearsals while do an amazing job in School House Rock is an exceptional accomplishment. Papa & Nanny are so proud of you and we consider it a great honor to have you as..."our grand-daughter".
You are very special and we love you.
Dear, Dear Brenda,
What can I say. I know that your dedication to the education of your girls is first and foremost on your agenda. I, also, know how busy that agenda is. You are the driving force behind the success of everything that is "good" involving the future of "your girls." I know the hours and hours of research that you and Joelle put into her first quarter of sixth grade to make this goal that Joelle had set for herself a reality. I also know that as a working single mom, without the help of a live-in dad, you put a great deal of energy into a 24 hour period. Hey! You know what? I am now and always will be proud to be... "your Mom".
I love you Brenda,
Mom
